Our Heritage: From Tangshan to the World

Tangshan is known as the "Porcelain Capital of Northern China" and is one of the birthplaces of China's modern ceramics industry. The region's quality clay resources and more than a century of accumulated craftsmanship have made it one of the most important sanitary ware production centers in the country, and our factory has been part of that story from the very beginning.

1914

Our factory produced its first piece of sanitary ware, making it one of the pioneers of China's sanitary ceramics industry.

1955

Began exporting sanitary ware overseas, becoming one of the earliest Chinese manufacturers to do so.

Year

Tangshan Houfengyuan Import and Export Co., Ltd. was established to serve overseas brand owners, importers and project buyers directly.

Today

3.5 million pieces produced every year, 90% exported, with certifications including ISO 9001, UPC, CSA, CE, KS and SAI Global.

Our own brand, "TSTC TangTao", enjoys a strong reputation in China and overseas. Every OEM and ODM product we make for our partners is built with the same production processes, the same equipment and the same quality standards that earned that reputation.

Why Partner With Us

Choosing a sanitary ware supplier is a long-term decision. Poor flushing, damaged shipments, stained glazes and expensive mold changes can cost you customers and margins. Here is how we help you avoid those risks.

① Tangshan Heritage & Material Quality

Great sanitary ware starts with the ceramic body. We combine Tangshan's quality clay resources with more than 100 years of formulation and firing experience.

  • Fully vitrified ceramic body: products are fired at up to 1,280°C for complete vitrification, achieving water absorption below 0.5%, which meets the vitreous china requirement of ASME A112.19.2/CSA B45.1. The result is a dense, strong body that resists cracking and does not absorb odors or stains.
  • Easy-clean glaze: a smooth, high-gloss glaze surface with an optional self-cleaning nano-glaze resists dirt and limescale build-up, keeping toilets and basins clean with less effort.
  • Consistent firing: our tunnel kilns maintain uniform temperature across every section, with adjustable firing curves, so glaze finish, color and dimensions stay consistent from the first batch to the last.
  • Designed for daily life: durable construction, attractive modern designs, and water-saving, energy-saving performance.

② Engineered Flushing Excellence

A toilet that does not flush cleanly leads to complaints, returns and damage to your brand. That is why we engineer and test flushing performance rather than assume it.

  • Flush performance test: simulated waste removal testing to confirm a complete, clean flush.
  • Ball-pass test: confirms the trapway is free-flowing and resistant to clogging.
  • Micro-leak and water-tightness test: checks tanks, connections and seals for any leakage.
  • Water consumption test: verifies flush volumes against your market's requirements, for example 3/6 L dual flush for Europe and Australia, or 4.8 L (1.28 gpf) for North America.
  • Fittings function test: checks the operation of fill valves, flush valves and seat covers.

Test reports and test videos can be provided for your products.

③ Flexible OEM/ODM Capabilities

Every market has different installation habits, plumbing standards and consumer preferences. We adapt our products to fit yours.

  • Product types: one-piece and two-piece toilets for North America, wall-hung and back-to-wall toilets for Europe, ceramic wash basins (countertop, undermount, pedestal and wall-hung), bidets, complete bathroom suites and basin-and-vanity sets.
  • Plumbing adaptation: S-trap and P-trap outlets, trapway modification and rough-in dimensions adjusted to local plumbing standards.
  • Flush systems and fittings: dual flush or single flush, soft-close seat covers, and fittings selected to meet your market's certification requirements.
  • Glaze and appearance: standard white and custom glaze colors to match your product line.
  • Branding: kiln-fired ceramic logos or laser-marked logos, branded fittings, custom color boxes, manuals, barcodes and retail labels.

④ Certifications & Compliance

Import compliance should never be a barrier. Our factory holds the certifications required by the world's major markets.

OEM & ODM Services

Whether you already have a finished design or only an idea, we offer three ways to bring your products to market.

Full OEM Manufacturing

You provide the drawings or samples, and we take care of complete production: mold making, casting, glazing, kiln firing, fitting assembly, testing and packaging. The finished products carry your brand, not ours.

Best for: brand owners with established product designs who need a reliable, high-capacity manufacturing partner.

Customization Based on Our Existing Models

Choose from our proven, market-tested product range and customize it with your preferred glaze color, fittings, logo and packaging. Because there is no new mold to develop, you save on tooling costs and get to market faster.

Best for: importers, wholesalers and growing brands that want to launch a private-label line quickly and cost-effectively.

Development From Your Drawings or Samples

Send us a drawing, a sketch or a physical sample, even one from another supplier. Our engineers reverse-engineer the product, build the 3D model, and take on everything from mold design and adjustment to glazing and firing process design.

Best for: buyers with a unique design, or buyers who need to replace an existing supplier without changing the product their customers already know.

Our Custom Manufacturing Process

Many buyers hesitate to develop custom products with a new factory because they fear poor communication and endless mold revisions. Our structured process keeps every stage transparent and every decision in your hands.

Requirement Analysis & CAD/3D Design

Our engineers review your sketch, drawing or sample together with your market requirements, including rough-in dimensions, flush volume and required certifications. We then create 3D models and renderings for your approval. Because ceramics shrink during drying and firing, our engineers calculate shrinkage allowances in the design so the finished product matches your target dimensions. No mold is made until you approve the design.

01

Prototype & Mold Making

Based on the approved 3D design, we build a prototype model so you can confirm the shape, proportions and details. Once the prototype is approved, we produce the production molds. A new product can move from mold making to finished sample in as little as 35 days.

02

Trial Firing & Testing

We carry out trial casting, glazing and firing in our tunnel kilns, then test the fired samples for dimensions, glaze quality, flushing performance, water consumption and water-tightness. If any result falls short, we adjust the mold or firing curve until the sample fully meets specification. Only then do we send the samples to you for testing and confirmation.

03

Mass Production & Three-Stage Quality Control

After sample approval, production is scheduled and every order passes through three inspection stages: first-article inspection before mass production begins, in-process inspection during casting, glazing and firing, and final inspection before packing. OEM products follow exactly the same standards as our own brand.

04

Safe Packaging & Global Shipping

Ceramic products must arrive in perfect condition. Every item is packed in drop-tested, reinforced export packaging and loaded to minimize movement during transit. We prepare all export documents and coordinate shipping from Tianjin Port to your destination.

Inside Our Factory: Manufacturing & Quality Control

We know most overseas buyers cannot visit China whenever they want. So here is a transparent look at the equipment, processes and inspections behind every product we ship.

Production Equipment & Processes

  • Tunnel kilns: one 126 m long × 3.2 m wide tunnel kiln and two 82 m long × 2.8 m wide tunnel kilns. Their wide cross-sections support large-scale continuous production, while low energy consumption per unit keeps production costs, and your purchase costs, under control. Temperature is controlled evenly across every section of the kiln, and the firing curve can be adjusted to support new product development.

  • Forming: 309 forming lines inside two large-scale production halls, including high-pressure casting equipment for consistent wall thickness and dimensional accuracy.
  • Glazing: automated robotic glazing for an even glaze thickness and a consistent, flawless finish.
  • Assembly & testing stations: dedicated areas for fitting assembly, water testing and flush testing.

Quality Control Laboratory & Inspection Standards

OEM products and our own-brand products follow one factory inspection standard. There are no shortcuts for private-label orders.

Case Study

From Wash Basin Sourcing to a Custom Integrated Vanity Solution

Client: A bathroom products distributor from Country

The Client's Plan

The client originally came to us to purchase ceramic wash basins for a residential project / their retail range, planning to source the matching cabinets separately from another supplier.

The Challenge

Buying basins and cabinets from different suppliers created real risks: the basin and cabinet dimensions might not match, the finished units had to fit a specific bathroom space, and the client would need to coordinate two suppliers, two production schedules and separate shipments. All of this meant higher total costs, a longer procurement cycle and possible on-site adjustments during installation.

Our Solution

After understanding the client's space and installation requirements, our team proposed an integrated basin-and-vanity cabinet set instead of basins alone. We designed the basin and cabinet together to the client's required dimensions of W × D × H, matched the basin fit and mounting to the cabinet precisely, and handled production, quality inspection and packaging for the complete set as a single order.

The Result

  • Perfect fit: the finished units met the client's size requirements exactly, with no on-site modification needed.
  • Higher efficiency: one supplier, one order and one shipment replaced two separate sourcing processes.
  • Lower overall cost: the client saved on freight, supplier coordination and installation work compared with sourcing the basin and cabinet separately.
  • Excellent market feedback: the client placed a repeat order for XXX sets.
