Water absorption rate of ceramic bodies
Strictly controlling the water absorption rate of ceramic bodies. For semi-porcelain sanitary ceramics, the water absorption rate is less than 3%. A high water absorption rate is prone to late-stage cracking. In accordance with the requirements for high-grade sanitary ceramics, our factory controls the water absorption rate of all products to less than 0.5%.
Performance testing on raw material slurry
Our factory conducts performance testing on raw material slurry, including the following aspects: good fluidity, good stability, low moisture content, good water permeability, and appropriate thixotropy.
Drying process
Drying process: After demolding, the moisture content of ceramic bodies formed by slip casting is generally above 19%. Low strength of wet bodies makes transportation difficult, and insufficient drying before glazing will cause quality problems such as cracking and peeling. Therefore, our factory fully dries the bodies to a moisture content below 2% after demolding.
