Strictly control the water absorption rate of the ceramic green body:
The water absorption rate of the green body is less than 3%, and a high water absorption rate tends to cause cracking in the later stage. In accordance with the requirements for high-grade sanitary ceramics, our factory controls the water absorption rate of all products to be less than 0.5%.
Performance testing of raw material slurry in our factory covers the following aspects:
good fluidity and good stability of the slurry, low moisture content, good water permeability of the slurry, and appropriate thixotropy of the slurry.
Drying process:
After slip casting, the moisture content of the ceramic green body is generally more than 19% after demolding. The wet body has low strength, which makes it inconvenient for transportation. Furthermore, glazing without sufficient drying will lead to quality problems such as cracking and peeling. Therefore, our factory fully dries the body after demolding until the moisture content is less than 2%.
Production Process
● In fact, there is only one key production process for sanitary ceramics, with the main sequence being: raw material and glaze preparation → slip casting → firing.
● Specifically, the main production process of our factory is as follows: Different raw materials are accurately proportioned according to self-developed formulas. The proportioned raw materials are put into ball mills to make slurry. After aging, the qualified slurry is sent to the slip casting line for molding.
● The green bodies are dried, glazed, and dried again before being sent to kilns for firing. Finally, the fired products are inspected, processed, packaged, and then stored in the warehouse.
